Youth Football (Year 7 to 12)

Who can play in the Youth Football competition?

Youth football commences from Year 7 and provides a challenging platform for players to develop and enhance their skills with specialist coaches and training sessions. This competition is also referred to as Open Rules.

Youth football registration fees

The $285 registration fee for Year 7-10 includes:

  • Club Polo (all Year 7 players and all new Youth players)

  • preseason training;

  • 15 weeks of coaching, match practice and training supported by the Club's dedicated coaches and volunteers;

  • end of year trophy;

  • team photo;

  • Subiaco Football District raffle tickets; and

  • insurance.

There is a sibling discount of 10% if you are registering more than one child to play football with the Carine Junior Football Club in 2024.

Please note, registrations for the Year 11/12 (18s) competition are open.

How to register

Our priority registration period is on until 1st Feb, registrations are now open to new players, transfers and any returning players who have not yet registered.

For all registrations, including Auskick, Juniors and Youth competitions, head to http://www.playhq.com/ or click on the graphic to register. Search for Carine JFC and follow the prompts.

If you are looking to play football with us but are a member of another club, you'll need to complete a transfer.  This process is undertaken online and you just need to contact our Registrar with your details (full name and DOB) and if there is space available in a team, we will take care of everything else.  The national transfer window opens on 1 February 2023.

Financial assistance - KidSport

KidSport makes it possible for children to participate in community sport and recreation, no matter their financial circumstances. Eligible families with children aged 5-18 years may apply for financial assistance to contribute $150 towards your registration fees. For further details and to apply online, please visit the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.  You must apply and receive your voucher first prior to registering with us.

What to expect in the Youth competition

Most games in the Youth Football competition are played on Sunday, either at Beach Road or at other clubs in the Subiaco District and further afield as part of the Northern Conference

Parents

Parents are the driving force behind our Club and we encourage parents to participate each weekend - previous AFL experience is not required. A roster for washing team jumpers, goal post set up and return, timing and oranges will be coordinated by your team manager.

Snags and coffee

The Club runs a fundraising BBQ and canteen at our Clubrooms every Sunday, offering mouth-watering sausage sizzles, hamburgers, hot chips, coffee and egg and bacon rolls.
