Youth Girls Preseason Tour 2021 & 2023

Over pre-season weekends in March of 2021 and 2023, our Year 7 to 12 female players attended our highly successful Youth Girls Preseason Tours of the Busselton and Bunbury region.

Our club was hosted by Bunbury Football Clubs in 2021 and the Dunsborough JFC in 2023, and each club extended outstanding hospitality, facilities, support and footballing events. The enthusiastic engagement of our girls, the camaraderie, the amazing support of our parents and the positive connections we established with the local host clubs all contributed to creating a memorable and highly successful experience for all of our players.. Plans for 2024 are already well progressed and we hope that our next version will include many more of our girls and be an even more amazing trip this year as a key part of their preparation for the coming season.

"I was just so proud of the contributions of our girls, their coaches and the volunteer chaperones. Starting from scratch with an event like this was a big task, but the girls represented our Club in a very positive way and it was an extremely satisfying experience to be involved in. We look forward to the season ahead and can't wait to see even more of our amazing female footballers involved next year.” Paul, Carine Junior Football Club Committee Member (Girls Football Coordinator).

"It was a fantastic opportunity for our junior and youth female players to come together as a group. They had a fabulous time mixing footy with other exciting activities while getting to know each other. All compliments to them for showing our host clubs true sportsmanship on and off the field. Here's to it being the first of a new tradition in our proud Club.” Jan, Carine Junior Football Club Committee Member, Parent Chaperone.

“I enjoyed being closer with the footy group, getting to know the girls better and me improving my skills at the footy camp.” Jada, Year 7.

“The trip brought the whole team together and we learnt so much more about our team mates. From the bus ride, the games we played and all the activities we did, it was all so much fun. It was a great footy bonding experience and fond memories made. Count us in for the next trip.” Asha, Year 7 and Sabah, Year 8.

“I thought the trip was really good becuase it gave us an opportunity to get to know our team mates and coaches better, especially for the girls that moved over from the Saints and it was really fun. I really enjoyed the camp because it gave all us girls a chance to get to know each other and to play a couple of games before the season starts. I really enjoyed spending time with all the girls in the dorms, laughing and chatting for most of the night. I thought the ropes course was really fun.” Bronte, Year 10.
